Rule 6 – Stop when full

This was possibly the hardest as it really jarred with my value of “no waste” so in order to minimise the impact I had to be careful about what I put on my plate, SMALL PORTIONS, and how much I cooked, ONLY COOK WHAT IS NECESSARY. Because wasting food is a real no, no for me I did get the hang of this fast.  I would keep one of the two portions of fruit I allowed myself for desert so if I took too little and still felt hungry I fell back on that. I devised a few “puddings” like yoghurt with blueberries (one of my two portions of fruit) or with some of my sugar free granola. I still never broke the NO 2ND HELPING RULE.

The jist of this rule was that if you kept going despite being full you would simply stretch your stomach and you would need more food each time to feel full. Hence the moment I feel full I stop. No matter what is on my plate.

For a low calorie, high flavour dinner try combining all those lovely veggies like courgette, aubergine, spinach, cauliflower and peppers with some lightly fried onions, a tin of tomatoes and curry powder. YUM!
