Welcome. Almost 3 years ago I started to cut out sugar in a bid to lose weight. Little did I know then what would transpire as I started this journey. They say that it sometimes takes an emotional upheaval for real change to happen and that is exactly what it took for me. My partner of 9 years walked out 1 week after I returned home from having surgery that went very wrong and within days of finding out a very close friend had terminal cancer. I shut down. I stopped functioning which meant I stopped eating.
When I got through this I had kick started the weight loss and started to feel amazing so I just kept going. Albeit at this point I was determined that this would be a change of life style and not a short-term diet. Having decided sugar was evil that was the first of my “rules”. Yes I slowly started to devise a few rules to live by and my research into this approach commenced and my first great inspiration was found. I invested in Sarah Wilson’s “I quit sugar” book.
